One thing I hate about Texas
The cops. I should’ve realized during this happy holiday time, the cops would be out like mad to ruin my holiday cheer, but seriously: two speeding tickets in 3 hours?! The second one I didn’t even deserve. Sure, I drive fast, but never too fast, never unsafely fast. I know my own limits. I know I know, that doesn’t matter in the eyes of the law, so I get it when I get pulled over and cited for speeding. But after that, especially on a long trip like driving the 3 hours from my house to my parents’ house, I stick it on cruise control the rest of the way and adjust it for whatever signs I see. So I’m going 55, FIFTY-FIVE mind you! freakin slow! Goin the general speed of traffic. I stop at a stop light, it turns green, I go, then suddenly there’s a cop on me. I literally had NO IDEA why I was being pulled over. Apparently, in that tiny little town I just passed, it went from 55 to 45 to 35, then back up to 45 and 55. I pull over right in front of a 60mph sign.
There’s so many towns where it does this, it’s crazy. Okay, I’m sorry, I blinked and missed the sign in your tiny hic town. freakin aye. So now I’ve got to go to court TOMORROW, if they even get my ticket in by then cause I’m leaving the country on Friday. Arg, ticks me off man.

lol, I vaguely remember you saying that you were planning on driving 80 the whole way. Small Texas towns do suck. After calculating the costs of your tickets, I hear they’re building a new post office, to be erected in your honor sometime in 2009.
You still going to Thailand? News reports make it sound like things are shutting down over thier due to protests.

I’d love to see that building. “Lead Foot Memorial Post Office: Remembering the speedsters that made this municipality possible.”
Yep, still going. Hopefully won’t get caught up in some turmoil. Stay tuned…

Awww! two speeding tickets in one day? That is definitely worse than my jaywalking- it ended up being around $100- still waiting for the official notice but the internet tells me it’ll be that much.
