My toes are currently being nipped by a small yorkie with hyper attention disorder. Hold on, let me kick it into the wall… ahh, there we are.

Met up with an old friend, Markowitz from SC last night, this time on purpose. She joined us at Second on Second, a karaoke bar in the village. Good times. Now it’s time to go picnicing in Central Park.

This is so random. I am visiting a friend in New York City and walking through the subway. I catch the eye of a girl as I walk by. She peers at me curiously, I look away, then my mind flashes back 5 or 6 years and I look back, she’s still looking at me. I stop and give her the same curious look, trying to form a name with my mouth. Finally, she says, “Zach?”

It’s Melanie Beck, a friend from USC. She’s living in New York now directing shows in a playhouse. We talked for a while and it was really cool. I love that you can still randomly run into people all over the world, doesn’t only happen online. In fact, to me, it happens more often when I travel.
