Another example of a Small World
April 25th, 2008This is so random. I am visiting a friend in New York City and walking through the subway. I catch the eye of a girl as I walk by. She peers at me curiously, I look away, then my mind flashes back 5 or 6 years and I look back, she’s still looking at me. I stop and give her the same curious look, trying to form a name with my mouth. Finally, she says, “Zach?”
It’s Melanie Beck, a friend from USC. She’s living in New York now directing shows in a playhouse. We talked for a while and it was really cool. I love that you can still randomly run into people all over the world, doesn’t only happen online. In fact, to me, it happens more often when I travel.
