Quote of the Day: "She lives at the corner of desperate and pathetic."
-Jordan Diaz to the cabbie of a friend on her way home instead of going out. (May 1st, 2008)

Old friends
Apr 26 2008: New York, NY
My toes are currently being nipped by a small yorkie with hyper attention disorder. Hold on, let me kick it into the wall... ahh, there we are.

Met up with an old friend, Markowitz from SC last night, this time on purpose. She joined us at Second on Second, a karaoke bar in the village. Good times. Now it's time to go picnicing in Central Park.

Another example of a Small World
Apr 25 2008: New York, NY
This is so random. I am visiting a friend in New York City and walking through the subway. I catch the eye of a girl as I walk by. She peers at me curiously, I look away, then my mind flashes back 5 or 6 years and I look back, she's still looking at me. I stop and give her the same curious look, trying to form a name with my mouth. Finally, she says, "Zach?" It's Melanie Beck, a friend from USC. She's living in New York now directing shows in a playhouse. We talked for a while and it was really cool. I love that you can still randomly run into people all over the world, doesn't only happen online. In fact, to me, it happens more often when I travel. :)

SXSW Day one
Mar 8 2008: Austin, TX
Rick came into town last night and today we went to the first day of SXSW. We saw some shorts and one feature length called Half Life which was so so. But the real fun started afterwards at the opening party at Buffalo Billiards. We met some fine chicas and played some mean shuffle board. I also ran into Ross randomly on 6th st, good times.

Flogging F'n Molly!!!
Feb 2 2008: Austin, TX
Just saw Flogging Molly at Stubb's outdoor venue and it was awesome! It's a nice little venue, kind of like the Ventura theater but outdoors. Oh there was soo much moshing. It was all I wanted it to be. Also heard "Dusty Roads and the River Band" who were eh pretty good and then there was "Reverend Patton" and they were just very repeatative. But then the Flogging Molly came out and played for soo long and I was up on my feet the whole time jumping around and singing.

Good times. I'll post pics soon. :)
